Quick Services that Pack a Big Punch

We are screaming, crying that it’s almost summer over here at CocoLemon. And, while this is normally a very important season for reminding everyone about hair health and how to care for their manes (still very important, plz visit our earlier posts about moisture and pool-season haircare for all those helpful tips), we thought we’d dive into another aspect of haircare that can get kind of overlooked in the summer—why we might want our in-salon maintenance to shift just a smidge.
For the obvious reasons—i.e. change in the moisture content of the air around us, contact with pools full of good-ol’ chlorine, or good-ol’ saltwater—our hair tends to be a lot drier in the summer. Don’t get me wrong, it can get their other times of the year as well, but it comes around during this time of year with a special kind of ferocity you don’t see in the winter months. The activities we engage in during this season have a lot to do with that.
So let’s talk about ways we can shift our in-salon (and at-home) maintenance to make sure we’re not making a sticky situation even sticker, and saving some $$$ where we might not actually need to spend it.

In-Salon Services
Mini Highlights
As many of you already know, we loveeeee a mini highlight appointment up in this b! There’s always a time and place for our partial. full, or transformation appointments, but if you know it’s time to get your lighter pieces touched up and aren’t sure you need or want it all over your head, a mini highlight is the perfect service in the interim! We’ll spend about two hours together, touch up the highlights in your face frame section, and you’ll leave feeling more refreshed than you thought possible in such a short amount of time :)
Gray Coverage
We be doin’ this service all-day everyday already, but for some of you it can be a totally new road to travel down! If you’re someone who doesn’t really need an overall shift but want to get rid of some pesky grays, wants to continue getting gray coverage without touching up highlights on top of it, or just want to cover your grays for the first time… this is about two hours in-salon with us every 6-8 weeks and can be a gameeee changer. Glosses
Glosses are an incredible way to pack a huge punch without (seemingly) doing much of anything at all (lol). All of our color services include this step, but if you’re only in the market for about an hour in-salon and want to tone, enhance or just overall add some shine back into your color, this is the service for you!
Haircuts
We spend a lot of time emphasizing the importance of this one year-round, so it might go without saying, but I’m here to remind you anyway :) Haircuts can often be a super overlooked service, especially if you’re someone that’s used to color + cut like clockwork, but it’s a-okay to ditch the color and just come in for a trim (or a chop) if that’s all you need! Conditioning Treatments
Conditioning treatments are one of our absolute favorite ways to revive hair that might not be in need of a haircut, but definitely isn’t feeling 100%. These are pretty straightforward treatments (most take ten mins max to do their thing), and the best part is that almost all of the conditioning treatments we have at Coco can be purchased for at-home use. (See below for links to our favs).
At-Home Treatments
In-Shower Treatments:
Triple-Bond Repair
This is an incredible in-shower treatment that reconnects, replaces, and reinforces the three primary bonds in the hair—reversing damage from chemical services, heat styling, and environmental stress. Needless to say, it’s perfect for summer when hair is over-exposed to chemically-treated water and the drying effect of hot weather on the hair. IMPORTANT: This one doesn’t replace conditioner in your at-home routine—you’ll instead add it after shampoo, but before conditioning :)
Moisture Masque
This at-home treatment is an amaaaaazing choice for anyone. It’s formulated to restore critical moisture to dry, damaged hair and is light enough that those of you baddies with fine hair can use it, but heavy enough that those of you with more coarse hair will still feel the incredible effects it provides. If you’re someone who feels like you need instant relief from dehydrated, less-than-happy hair, this one’s for you!
Urgent Repair Treatment
Our love for this baby runs sooooo deep, and it’s especially wonderful for summertime! Urgent Repair Treatment is the most invigorating scalp treatment you ever did seeee, but it’s also an extra-moisturizing formula for dry hair, infuses protein for repair, strength, and shine, and promotes scalp health. (All while being based in Eufora’s trademark USDA pharmaceutical-grade Aloe Vera gel. A must-must have.
Replenishing Treatment
This one’s specifically for our curly friends!
This treatment is great for those times when your routine conditioner might not be enough of the punch that you’re looking for. It increases curl movability, elasticity, and retention, helps restore curl pattern and structure, combats frizz and prevents moisture loss, and strengthens and enhances shine.

Leave-In Repair Treatment
This beauty provides color protection, damage repair, and detangling all in one beautiful package. Perfect for frizz reduction, moisture,
and prep for heat styling. It works to repair overworked, dry, and damaged hair from the inside out.
Hydration Leave-In Conditioner
This is one of my personal favs for those of you who feel like you need something a little bit heavier than a normal leave-in spray, but don’t need anything super heavy to get the job done. Hydration repairs and strengthens hair, protects against sun damage and color fading, and gives incredible shine!
ElixirOne
This one is such a fun duo-product! ElixirONE combines the power of a hair oil and all the benefits of a leave-in and contains Eufora’s Damage Cure Complex. It repairs the inner structure and outer cuticle layer of the hair, moisturizes while creating silky-soft, moveable hair, scientifically prevents color fading, and enhances shine.
Fortifi
Another personal fav of ours! Think of this one as if you’re replacing shingles on a roof—over time, it’s aiding in rebuilding the proteins in your hair strands and sliding that goodness back into place where it belongs. Fortifi is formulated to restructure weak, brittle, damaged hair, increases strength, elasticity, and shine, improves breakage resistance, and contains an anti-static formula to prevent flyaways. We <3 this bad boy and we know you will too :)
